Welcome to the Goshen County Road & Bridge Department!!

Being responsible for the repair, maintenance and construction of nearly 1,100 miles of road, 65 major bridges, and numerous smaller structures, the department also interacts with the County Surveyer, County Planner, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

Our staff is comprised of the superintendent, shop foreman, field foreman, nine operators, secretary, and one part-time position.

The following projects that have been completed within the past fiscal year:

• Reshaping and resurfacing over 25 miles of gravel road.
• The inspection, repair, and maintenance of all major bridges within the county.
• Contract crushing of an estimated 170,000 ton of material from the Jones Pit North of Lingle.

The Goshen Commissioners, Goshen County Road & Bridge, and Wyoming Department of Transportation have initiated a project to construct a new county road, providing access to the Medium Security Prison Site, utilizing County Road Fund money.  The right of way has been secured and the final plans have been approved , with "Phase 1".  Construction of the road did begin in September of 2006.
